The Self Love Series: Beatrice Granados
Beatrice (@beatricerigby) captures the very essence of who the Posie girl is. She's a bit bohemian, a little bit rocker. She oozes allure, mixing styles from different eras and adding a modern twist. Her pictures have a vintage aesthetic that gives a sense of nostalgia. Dive in and escape your reality...
What does self love mean to you?
For me it means to be happy with who you are: what makes you, YOU. Your flaws, your high and low moments. You are your longest relationship, so you have to take care of that one carefully. It's also the most difficult one.
Where does your confidence come from? What makes you confident?
It's quite difficult but I guess it's when I'm feeling happy and fulfilled. When I achieve something of my own or when I do something I'm proud of.
When the day is up, the week has been long, whats your ultimate self love ritual?
Hot tea in my hands and Netflix on repeat. Or a hot shower...always helps!
What is your favourite way to wear/style lingerie?
In an ideal scenario I like to wear a matching set, but being honest, it rarely works that way. I like all lingerie that involves lace, mesh or satin. Bralettes and cut panties. Cute but comfortable.
How does lingerie help you feel empowered?
I think wearing a piece of lingerie, I don't know why, but it has a special power that makes you feel extra special. Maybe the fact that it is kinda a secret. It's something that you do for yourself. Wearing something pretty for you.
What does you perfect weekend entail?
Waking up, the sun is outside, and you get ready for a day of hanging out with your friends or family. Maybe going to a park, a market, but just enjoying time with loved ones and some sunshine on your skin.
If you had to describe self love in one word, what would it be?
Acceptance.
Is there anything you once disliked about yourself that you now love?
My eyebrows. I used to hate them and was very conscious about them. 90's trends!
If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Try to not listen to other people, be proud of who you are and if you fail or feel embarrassed it's alright. It's just one moment, you'll get out of that.
